These terms cover use of the Story of Humanity website. We've kept this plain and short on purpose — if anything here ever feels unclear, please reach out and ask.

The stories on this site

• Every story, name, and photo published here is shared with that person's explicit, informed consent, following our consent protocol.
• Stories, photos, and names on this site may not be copied, reposted, or reused outside of sharing the original page link, without our prior written permission. The people whose stories these are retain their dignity and their say in how their stories travel — please don't strip that context away by re-publishing content elsewhere.
• If you believe a story should not be published, or if you are the person whose story is shown and want it changed or removed, contact us — see our Privacy Policy for how consent withdrawal works.

The "reach out privately" form

• This form exists for one purpose: to let someone who recognizes a person from a published story reach out, with that person's full and final say over any response.
• Please don't use this form for solicitation, advertising, harassment, or any purpose unrelated to genuinely reconnecting with someone you recognize.
• We reserve the right to disregard messages that appear to misuse this form.

Volunteering

Volunteer accounts are provided for people actively participating in our meal-sharing and storytelling program, under our consent protocol. Volunteer access may be revoked at our discretion if the protocol isn't followed.

No warranty

This site is provided as-is. While we take care to keep information accurate and the site running reliably, we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every detail is error-free.

Changes

We may update these terms as the organization grows. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
