Story of Humanity exists to treat people with dignity — that includes how we handle information about everyone involved: storytellers, volunteers, donors, and anyone who reaches out to us. This page explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
If you're someone we've shared a meal and a conversation with, here's specifically what we do and don't do with your information:
We keep your name, email, and a record of the stories you've worked on, so we can coordinate volunteer activity and maintain the consent records the protocol requires. This information is visible to our admin team and isn't shared publicly or with third parties.
Submitting this form does not confirm or deny anything to you about the person you're asking about. Your message is reviewed by our team and relayed privately, only if and how the storyteller chooses.
We collect whatever contact information you provide (email or phone) and your message, solely to relay your note and, if the storyteller agrees, to facilitate a response. We don't use this information for any other purpose, and we don't add it to any mailing list.
We don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers designed to follow you across the web. If we use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used, it's in aggregate and never tied to your individual identity. Donation processing, once available, will be handled through a reputable payment processor — we don't store payment card details ourselves.
